THE SEIZURE OF THE TURKMENSAHRA TERRITORIES HAS REACHED TO MORE DANGEROUS DIMENSIONS

The territory issue is the biggest still continuing problem of the Turkmensahra. The policy of pulling the Turkmens away from their territories and making them homeless dates back to the old times in the history of Turkmensahra. Settling the Kurds into the eastern Turkmensahra during the times of Qajar and Pahlavi led the Turkmens in Bojnord, Daraghaz and its neighboring area to break away from Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.

Almost 80 years ago, even though the population of the Turkmensahra was completely composed of the Turkmen nation during the Pahlavi regime, this ratio today is rapidly changing.

The Islamic Republic Regime is considering more evil plans in order to reach its 30-year long objective. This plan of the Islamic Republic is penetrating into the hearts of the Turkmensahra and seizing the territories of the Turkmens’ no matter how.

The nationalization of a 50-thousand hectare land from Qalajiq to Anbar Olom, in Bandar-e Turkmen, Gomish Tappah and Aqqala, settling the migrants such as Sistanis into Turkmen territories, making the Turkmens accustomed to drugs following which purchasing the fertile agricultural areas with the money coming from the drugs and changing the borders of the counties are the one leg of the multi dimensional policy of the Islamic Republic in order to seize the territories of the Turkmen nation.

The Islamic Republic Regime is in an attempt to separate the Turkmens from one another on both sides of the border completely by declaring the territories in north of the Turkmensahra as military zones and nationalizing them. This time the Islamic Republic regime is in an attempt to seize most of the region’s territories, by offering the Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan railway project as an excuse. In this frame work the regime seeks to break the Incha Borun villages away from Gonbad and annex them to Aqqala. Furthermore, according to another plan, the northern and southern regions of Dashli Borun are to be annexed to Maravah Tappah.

Gonbad-e Kavoos may be considered as the capital city of the Turkmensahra. For this reason, the project of turning the Turkmen majority in this county into minority has been maintained for years. The excuse offered by the Islamic Republic regime in breaking the villages around Gonbad-e Kavoos away from this county is that the mentioned villages are far from Gonbad-e Kavoos and close to Maravah Tappah and Aqqala. However, the real reason behind breaking away the villages in Incha Borun and Dashi Borun and its vicinity is to decrease the number of Turkmens casting votes in Gonbad-e Kavoos. Thus, the regime will be able to send its own deputy rather than the Turkmen deputy to the assembly.

For a couple of years, the ethnic cleansing towards the Turkmens has so much increased that the territories on both sides of the transportation routes in Gonbad-Minudasht and Gonbad-Azadshahr are also sized by the Sistanis and some drug dealer Baluchs collaborating with the regime. The migrants from Sistan and Baluchistan lead to changes in the regional culture and an increase in the crime and homicide rates. The rate of drug consumption in the region has increased so much. Furthermore, due to the drought and the fact that the regime does not subsidize the local farmers, the poor Turkmen farmers have to sell their lands to Sistanis and Baluchs who are not natives of the region.

Turkmensahra Liberation Organization is warning the authorities of the regime and collaborator Sistanis to end the ethnic cleaning in the region.

Furthermore, we warn the migrants that the regime is temporary, however what is everlasting, is the fire of the grief and pain of the brave Turkmen nation. It is such a nation, which will strongly punish the cruelty and oppression, if necessary.
